We work with amazing organizations who have important things to say.
Brian Cole and Kirk Baggott have worked together for 20 years–through various organizations–as independent business owners and friends.

“We believe in the power of events to change the course of a life and Plaid Turtle exists to energize audiences with cinematic events that keep them engaged and (whether virtual or in-person) makes the medium match the message.”
Brian Cole
The Plaid Turtle Difference

Plaid Turtle events send the RIGHT message.
Getting the right message to your audience isn’t just about who you bring to the table or stage. If the medium through which the message is conveyed is not intentional, it negatively impacts how the content will be received. For an in-person event, the stage, set design, lighting, audio and video–even the arrangement and orientation of audience seating–are ALL vital in taking people on the journey you intended for them. For a virtual event, it has to be more than just pointing a camera and having a good microphone… lighting, cameras, lenses, and most importantly, operators must also be active participants in telling the story for each element of your program.

Plaid Turtle events reach more people.
Opportunities for scale and expansion are unlike they have ever been in history. We have had clients go from 1,500 people to over 8000, and from 250,000 to over 1.5 million attendees. Events and organizations that were once regional are now global, and the innovation ahead is limited only by our collective creativity and imagination.

Plaid Turtle events are enjoyable and impactful.
At a live event – whether in-person or virtual – an attendee should feel like a participant – not just an observer. The engaging way a virtual event is filmed, or the thought and intentionality around an in-person event, and the interactive opportunities in both, are what separate events that have a lasting impact from those that are forgotten.
Meet the Team

Brian Cole
For Brian, the world of Film and Live Event Production started as a hobby, turned into a college degree, and in 1999 it became his full time job.
He moved to Atlanta, GA to work with leadership author and speaker John Maxwell. For 24 years he’s helped build live in-person, satellite broadcast, and streaming events from the ground up, as well as produce and manage narrative and commercial films, podcasts, physical and digital products, and on-line content. Brian has consulted with entrepreneurs, churches and corporations helping with production-based systems, communication and team building.

Kirk Baggott
For Kirk, he’s always had a knack for engineering and figuring out how to make equipment do what he needs it to.
In the early 2000s, Kirk launched his first company and began supporting organizations through video (editing, filming, producing events, etc). His background in IT and network administration led him to be an early adopter of streaming solutions. Kirk was streaming content before most thought it was a stable solution, and worked with many of the technologies that are now the backbone of the largest most recognizable platforms for streaming content. He loves taking that knowledge and experience and using it to further the reach of organizations with missions that matter.
Kirk and his wife Amy have been married for 27 years and live just north of Atlanta, GA with their five children ages 5-25.
Plaid Turtle started as a solution for virtual event models.
Brian Cole and Kirk Baggott have worked together for 20 years–through various organizations–as independent business owners and friends. Their experience and relationships led them to form Plaid Turtle in 2020, when the global pandemic forced many companies to shut down their in-person events.
We realized our experience in the film and in-person event worlds could be combined to create a unique product that is engaging, beautiful, and life giving.

“We love getting to know our clients, helping shape moments to deepen the bond with their audience. ”
